Ramona (Monchis) Rodriguez, 81, of Perryton, Texas passed away July 5, 2024 at her home in Perryton, Texas.  Viewing will be Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, July 8, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be held Monday evening, July 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, with a Vigil following from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.   Mass will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton, Texas.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery, with arrangements by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Ojo de la Piedra, Mexico on November 6, 1942 to Blas Arreola and Maria Castillo, who had 10 children in total.  Ramona married Hilario Rodriguez on August 28th, 1964.  Both Hilario and Ramona came to the United States in 1975 and have lived here since.

Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her ex-husband, Hilario Rodriguez; her sister Lucilda Arreola; her five children, Zulema Miranda and husband Alberto, Jose Rodriguez and wife Cynthia, Norberto Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez and wife Patricia, and Amy Arballo and husband Francisco; her thirteen grandchildren, Arnaldo Miranda, Maritza Miranda, Judean Beltran, Aaron Fraire, Danielle Rodriguez, Austin Rodriguez, Blas Rodriguez, Claudia Rodriguez, Julia Rodriguez, Kristina Rodriguez, Eisha Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez, and Aydan Navaro; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who she saw as her own.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; and three sisters.

Ramona was our "Facebook" before it ever existed, she was the life of the party, always cooking, dancing and laughing.  She loved to have a full house and gather everyone together.   She had a huge heart for animals, especially her dogs.  Ramona was loved by many and will truly be missed.
