Ricardo Olivas, de 73 años, amado padre y abuelo, fue llamado a casa con el Señor el 9 de enero de 2023 en Perryton, Tx. La misa fúnebre está programada para las 11:30 a.m., el jueves 12 de enero de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción en Perryton, Tx con el Padre César Gómez oficiando. El velorio será el martes (1/10/23) de 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., el miércoles (1/11/23) de 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. y el jueves (1/12/23) de 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. en Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home en Perryton.

Ricardo nació el 3 de Abril de 1949, hijo de Juan María y Guadalupe Olivas y creció en Rancho Portillo, México. Llegó a Perryton, Texas hacienda su hogar como padre y amigo desde 1988. Conocido por Ricardito y así lo recordaremos por su carisma, sentido del humor y gran personalidad y trabajador que siempre fue. Ricardo tenía una manera única de hacer reír a todos y de hacer amigos, siempre tenía una sonrisa a donde quiera que fuera. Se iluminaba cada lugar a donde llegaba con amabilidad y personalidad acogedora siempre ofrecía de su ayudar a quien lo necesitara. Ricardo le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos jugando a las cartas, platicar e ir a tomar café a Daylight Donuts.  Lleba a su nieto al parque pasando momentos únicos. Se le extrañara mucho.

Le sobreviven su hijo, Manuel Olivas de Seagoville, Tx; hijas, Faride Olivas y Karime Olivas, ambas de Amarillo, Tx; madre de sus hijos, Leticia Olivas de Perryton, Tx; nietos, Ivett, Braelyn, Paloma, Paola, Manuel Jr. y Asher; hermanos, Saloman Olivas de Aldama, México, Bernave Olivas de Portillo, México, Abran Olivas de Portillo, México, Jerónimo Olivas de Midland, Tx, y Roberto Olivas de Santa Fe, NM; y una hermana, Sofia Olivas de Gran Morelos, México.

Fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y una hermana, Elida Olivas.

Ricardo Olivas, 73, beloved father and grandfather was called home to the Lord on January 9, 2023 in Perryton, Tx. Funeral mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton, Tx with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Viewing/visitation will be Tuesday (1/10/23) 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday (1/11/23) from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday (1/12/23) 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton.

Ricardo was born April 3, 1949, the son of Juan Maria and Guadalupe Olivas and grew up in Rancho Portillo, Mexico. He arrived in Perryton, Texas making his home as a father and friend since 1988. Known as Ricardito by family and friends, he will be remembered for his charisma, sense of humor, great personality, and being a hard worker. Ricardo had a unique way of making everyone laugh and making friends. He always had a smile everywhere he went. He brightened every room with kindness and welcoming personality, always eager to help whoever needed him. Ricardo loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards, drinking coffee at Daylight Donuts and taking his grandson to the park. He always made great memories and he will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his son, Manuel Olivas of Seagoville, Tx; daughters, Faride Olivas and Karime Olivas both of Amarillo, Tx; mother of his children, Leticia Olivas of Perryton, Tx; grandchildren, Ivett, Braelyn, Paloma, Paola, Manuel Jr., and Asher; brothers, Saloman Olivas of Aldama, Mexico, Bernave Olivas of Portillo, Mexico, Abran Olivas of Portillo, Mexico, Jeronimo Olivas of Midland, Tx, and Roberto Olivas of Santa Fe, NM; and one sister, Sofia Olivas of Gran Morelos, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elida Olivas.
