Roberto Bernal Contreras, 39, of Perryton, Texas passed away on August 26, 2024 in Perryton.  Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, and on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.  A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton, Texas.  Mass will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, also in Perryton.  Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mr. Contreras was born on June 7, 1985 in Las Choapas, Vera Cruz, Mexico to Macario Bernal and Maria Dolores Contreras.  He had been in the Panhandle area since 2010, having moved here from South Carolina.  He worked in the oilfield and was a cheerful and light-hearted person.  He loved soccer, dogs, and he liked to cook.

Mr. Contreras is survived by his parents of Mexico; one brother, Diego Armando Ortiz Contreras of Mexico; and three sisters, Diana Laura Ortiz Contreras, Mariana Bernal, and Sara Bernal, all of Mexico.
