Roy Christ Babitzke, 70, former Booker resident passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at the Darrouzett, Tx cemetery on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service following immediately thereafter at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Darrouzett, Tx with Rev. Carol Weist officiating. Arrangements are made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Due to COVID 19, social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Born in Beaver, Ok on August 7, 1949, Roy was the third child born to Paul and Louise (Schneider) Babitzke of Booker, Tx. He grew up on the family farm east of Booker and graduated in 1969 from Booker High School. He attended the Darrouzett St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Roy was a hard-working farmer and rancher for many years until he retired due to declining health. Roy moved to Amarillo to be closer to advanced medical care.

On November 9, 1973, Roy married Debbie Ellis in Booker, Tx. Together they had one son, Roy Don Babitzke.

Roy is survived by Debbie; son, Roy Don Babitzke of Booker; one sister, Deana Luthi and husband Bob of Fayetteville, Ar and sister-in-law, Una Babitzke of Follett, Tx, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paulie Babitzke.

The family suggests memorials be made in his memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, PO Box 327, Darrouzett, Tx 79024.
