Scott Thomas Archer, 76, of Perryton, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in Perryton, Texas. Viewing will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton. The family will be at the funeral home Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to receive visitors. Scott’s funeral service will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Community Worship Center in Perryton, Texas, officiated by Mikel Petersen, assisted by Nolan Silvey. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Scott was born on October 26, 1949 in Perryton, Texas to Dan Archer and Opal Thomas Archer. He was a member of the Community Worship Center in Perryton. He married his wife, Shirley Burns Archer, on May 11, 1973 in Perryton. He farmed and ranched in the Texas panhandle. Scott’s love for racing followed him through his life, from runner-up super comp at the national finals in Denver to the national finals in Indianapolis. Scott loved to travel, collect guns, cars, antiques, and great memories with family and friends. He found great purpose and joy in his life’s work as a farmer and rancher. Few things brought him more happiness than harvesting a good crop, grazing healthy cattle, and the blessing of a much needed rain.

Scott is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; three sons, Daniel Archer and wife Torie, also of Perryton, Michael Archer and wife Wendy of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Graysun Archer; two daughters, Kate-Lynn Archer and Kylea Archer; grandchildren Paige Botsworth and husband Adam, Lee Halpain, and Brylan Caldwell; and great-grandson, Theodore Botsworth.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Shelby Ann Archer.
