Sheila Mary
Brown Rosales
Mar 10, 1954 — Nov 16, 2023
Booker
Sheila Mary Brown Rosales was born March 10, 1954, in Wichita, KS to Glen and Elenora (Irvin) Brown and passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Lubbock, TX. A committal service will be held December 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Darrouzett Cemetery, officiated by Brother Paul Euliss.
Before settling in Booker in 1978, Sheila resided in Tulsa, OK., where she worked as a phlebotomist at a blood bank. She moved to Booker where she met Alfonso Rosales. They celebrated their 40thanniversary on October 14th of this year.
She worked at the school cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed the interactions with students. She was well liked by her coworkers, the students and staff. She left this job in 2011 to become a full time memaw. She was the best memaw and always loved to attend her grandkids' school activities. They were her world. She loved her dog, Pepper, so much that she hated to leave home without her.
Sheila had three great loves in her life besides her family, they were the Dallas Cowboys, and her country and Texas. She was one of the biggest Dallas Cowboy fans, she never missed a game. If someone called during the games, she would have them call back. Everyone knew not to say anything bad about her team. She loved to watch sunsets, the clouds and the stars. She was very patriotic and loved wearing red, white, and blue as often as possible. She was proud of her country and the state of Texas. She always wished she would have been born in Texas rather than Kansas.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Guadalupe (Lupe) Cortez, her sister, Sabra Rodgers, and niece, Nikki Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Alfonso, daughters Robbie Montgomery Brown (Steve), Elena McMullin (Junnie), son Alfonso(Alfie) Rosales, Jr (Silvia), and six grandchildren Dayami Rosales, Aliah Rosales, Kinley McMullin, Landyn McMullin, Julian Cortez, and Marlene Mendoza, two brothers, Charles Marts (Sue), Billy Brown (Rosie), four sisters, Sue Alexander (Tony), Glenda Cortez (Paco), Tonya Bull, and Bobbie Brown (Thomas) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
