Shirley was born on January 14, 1942 to Theodore Faye and Ruth Beatrice (Hill) Beard in Perryton, TX and grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Perryton High School.
Soon after High School, Shirley married Lloyd Chisum and together they had one daughter, Deborah. She was very involved with Masonic Youth organizations, particularly Rainbow Girls, where she served as Mother Advisor for Duncan Assembly for many years and was a State Mother Advisor of OK.
Shirley was a passionate collector of antiques. She liked to bowl and was involved in a league for several years, but most of all she enjoyed going on trips all over the country with her friends. She will be remembered as a loyal and caring friend who sought ways to be of service to others.
