Thomas Murl Morris, 69, of Perryton, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in McKinney, Texas.  Viewing will be Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas.  A funeral service will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Perryton, Texas, with burial following in Blue Mound Cemetery in Balko, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mr. Morris was born on April 7, 1955 in Perryton, Texas to Thomas Carl Morris and Elnora Pittman Morris.  He graduated high school, and then he received his Bachelor's degree at Panhandle State University in Music Education.  He married his wife, Donna, in Elkhart, Kansas on August 2, 1975.  He farmed, served as a fireman, EMT, and he was the Lion's Club District President.  He served as a deacon and an elder at First Christian Church, and as the music director.  He worked for Ochiltree County as a jailer captain and jail administrator.

Mr. Morris is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Morris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son, Thomas David Morris and wife, Kelly, of Melissa, Texas; two grandsons, Thomas Adrien Morris and Caleb Morris.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna.
