Virginia Lou Symons, 97, of Perryton, Texas passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 in Perryton, Texas.  Viewing will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas.   A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Perryton, officiated by Rev. Mark Metzger.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Virginia was born on February 6, 1928 in Perryton, Texas to Kirt Williams and Stella Virginia Dodson Williams.  She graduated from Perryton High School in 1945 and attended West Texas State University.  She married her husband Elton Bryan Symons on December 28, 1946, and she worked as an insurance clerk for Sanford Clinic and Betty Clinic in Perryton.  She was part of the Naomi Circle, the Methodist Gideons auxiliary and the Rushing Wind Walk to Emmaus.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, and she served with Meals on Wheels.

Virginia is survived by one daughter, Judy Kay Turner and husband Danny; one son, Kerry Lee Symons and wife Cynthia; seven grandchildren, Bryan Turner, Shannon Turner Freeman, Mitch Symons, Phil Symons, Jed Symons, Alyssa Seay and Melanie Allen; thirty-four great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vivian Lois Williams.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Terry Dee Symons; and one sister, Lillian Danzey.
